The MGM Grand Macau first opened its doors on the 18th of December 2007. The hotel and casino situated in Macau, China was the second western style establishment in Asia after the Wynn Macau which is located next door.
The development was an equal part joint venture between MGM Mirage and Pansy Ho who is the daughter of SJM owner, Stanley Ho.

The MGM Grand Macau hotel is 35 stories high and has 600 rooms including suites on floors 20 to 28 and private villas on the 31st and 32nd floors. An outdoor heated pool is found on the third floor which opens daily for nine months of the year. The third floor is also home to the Six Senses spa which offers a full service on spa and beauty treatments as well as a fitness centre.
There are a variety of restaurants at the MGM Grand Macau offering Asian and international fare. They offer French cuisine; a daily buffet; high tea; Cantonese cuisine; patisserie and more. There are also a variety of bars around the establishment with a pool bar on the third floor; a bar offering live music every night of the week and a bar with light snacks on the menu.
One Central Mall is connected to the MGM offering a 200 000 sq. ft. shopping experience. The mall is home to a number of designer stores and upmarket boutiques. The lobby of the hotel and casino has a small art shop which showcases artwork from certain world renowned artists.
